By 2012, technology had become deeply integrated into the practice of law, continuing the trends from the early 2000s.The use of electronic discovery (e-discovery) in litigation became more widespread. Law firms and legal departments increasingly used advanced technology to manage large volumes of electronic data in cases, especially in complex litigation and corporate disputes.
